Fresh Speaking

"And let us consider one another so as to incite one another to love and good works, not abandoning our own assembling together, as the custom with some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more as you see the day drawing near." Hebrews 10:24, 25

Yesterday, my neighborhood was having garage sales. After debating if I should go, I finally decided that I'd go to a few of them.  Before I left the house, I spoke to the Lord that I would like to be able to be a testimony of His life in me to someone. I felt that desire came from the Lord Himself.

I went to a few sales, and then came to one where I noticed some Christian children's books. As I was looking through them, a little boy started to tell me about them. I said that he must have a family who loves the Lord. He smiled and said "Yes". I said a little something of how I loved the Lord too, and that He was the best!  When I went to pay for the books, I wondered if his mom, who was smiling, had heard me talking to him.

As I walked home, I thanked the Lord for answering my prayer, (really His prayer!), and marveled at His choice of whom I should speak to - a little boy!  I prayed that this would be a little seed that he would always remember, all through his life.

This however was not the end of my experience. This morning, as I was cleaning the house, the Lord spoke to me that I should go back and buy some more books from that little boy. I really felt it was the Lord's leading me, however, as I went, I felt a little awkward, and wondered what I should say. I hoped the boy would be there. When I went into the driveway not only was he there, but so were some other children and one of the moms. She said, "Weren't you here before?" I relayed to her how the Lord said I should come back. Although she seemed to be somewhat puzzled, she expressed her gratitude.  I bought some more books, and when I paid for them, the other parents were all smiling. I'm sure the mom had told them why I came back.

It seems like this was such a small experience, but, since it originated from the Lord, who knows where the Lord could take it? He was testified not just to the little boy, but also to the other children, and to the parents too!
