"Crock-Pot" Experiences

"And let us consider one another so as to incite one another to love and good works, not abandoning our own assembling together, as the custom with some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more as you see the day drawing near." Hebrews 10:24, 25

As we read Eph. 3, I kept considering the words "through faith" in v. 17. "That Christ may make His home in your hearts through faith." I couldn't quite grasp the meaning of "through faith." But tonight as I considered once again this verse, I was reminded that this is step 2 and that I need step 1 to achieve it. When we contact the Lord in our spirit, we are strengthened with power by His Spirit in our inner man. When we are so attached to Him, we loose all our doubts as to what He can do in us. We have such a trust in Him that we open up our entire being. This is how He can make His home in our heart. It is because of the faith that He generates in us when we are connected to Him. So we need to be exercising our spirit to touch this wonderful, all powerful One within every day!
