Eph. 3:16 After the prayer meeting on Tuesday night, I was getting ready for bed at about 10:00 and my lovely neighbors decided to sit outside at the picnic table and play loud music. Of course they were right outside my window, and I was getting pretty irritated. by almost 11:00, as I lay there thinking of all the things I might yell out to them, I remembered my i-pod! I put in the ear plugs and listened to some wonderful songs of worship. By 11:15, I was singing to the Lord and full of enjoyment. Every now and then I would pull one ear piece out to see if they were finished. As they kept making there noise, I started to sing louder and with more and more boldness. I felt strengthened and full of power. I'm not sure if they could hear me or not, but I really was brought out of my ugly self and into an experience of being strengthened with power by His Spirit into my inner man! Here is the words to the last song I sang. We have sung this in the meetings a few times. "My Jesus, my Savior; Lord there is none like You. All of my days I want to praise the wonders of Your mighty love. My comfort, my shelter, tower of refuge and strength; let every breath, all that I am never cease to worship You. SHOUT to the Lord, all the earth, let us sing, power and majesty, praise to the King. Mountains bow down and the seas will roar at the sound of Your name. I sing for joy at the work of Your hands. Forever I'll love You, forever I'll stand. Nothing compares to the promise I have in You." After singing this a few times, I took out the ear piece and it was so quiet! I felt like I had chased away all the evil forces and was standing so strongly in His strength. Even the next morning I had this song filling my heart. All I could think of was the verses from Eph. This is what being strengthened really is. Praise the Lord!! N.L.
