(K.C.'s notes from Lord's Day fellowship, Mar. 21, 2010) Dan: The first love really initiated our relationship with the Lord. The Lord's Love is our journey on earth. All apostles pursue the Lord to their death. There is no graduation of the pursuit of our Lord. But our thinking is normally natural. Brother Lee was still pursuing the Lord at age 80s. Brother Chu is still pursuing the Lord at age 70s. We need to pursue the Lord to the end of our journey on earth. Debbie: (Eph. 4:16 & 1 John 4:7) We grew a little bit, we then lost something, so we need to repent. We need to continue to pursue and repent. Jesus is the living one, so we should bear our cross to follow Him. We should live a life dead to self. So be simple, pure, humble and steadfast daily. Linda: (Philippians 3:12-14) We think we will fail when we pursue, but be faithful to do it. We don't want to let the Lord go, we should be relentless like a kid. It can be something positive if we pursue the Lord relentlessly. Also, forgetting the things behind, the bad thing about pursuing is looking backwards. So relentlessly pursue the Lord. Denise: I was touched by pursing the Lord. We should pursue the Lord together. I normally do things independently at work. But my boss told me that I will fail if I keep doing things this way. (Roman 12:5) Doing things independent of others is not the Lord's will. Ken: The Lord's Words are for the seven churches, but each of us should hear and respond. We need both individual and corporate responses. We need individually respond to the Lords Words. We also need responses from the churches. Michael: What I saw is God's eternal plan. The letters and books in the Bible tell us the picture of God's eternal plan. He wants to fulfill His plan through His churches. Paul was thinking that he was doing things for the Lord, but he was actually persecuting the Lord. We will sometimes also fall into this situation. Our response to the Lord is to respond to the Lord's eternal purpose. Hong: Christ is everything. I met a brother on the bus. I told him we both have one talent. We should not bury the talent. Paul: (Phi. 3:14) I visited a jail. I felt so blessed to be free from behind the bars. Some churches also preach without any Christ inside. I was disappointed at that. Then I went to a church meeting. I then realized that we were not just saved to go to the heaven. I now know there is the Body of Christ. We all have functions in the Body. We really feel real freedom and thank the Lord for that. I know now why we live the life journey on earth. He has His purpose for us. Josette: We look at Christ through different angles and segments like a kaleidoscope. But when we put them together, we see the whole and beautiful picture of Christ, no matter how big and small they are. Dave: We are individuals in the Body. Something can happen if we are put together. I was encouraged when we fellowship together with verses. The Lord really wants to build us up this way. John B.: (Romans 12:4-5) I focused on individual function. But actually those individual functions don't exist. The functions cooperate to make the whole function of the body. Individual members can't function by themselves. This is eye opening. Members function together in the Body of Christ. We should all exercise. Now I see there's a picture here. The functions are not independent. My functions are just in the Body of Christ.
